I always question why you should decorate terrain on the base to begin with? I mean, these are playing pieces that move from place to place, certainly the terrain they’re standing on should follow suit. Why not make it a clear base?

For me is for give more contrast to the figures in the playmat scenario, and a personal touch of how the player do terrain, anything is better than a unpainted base in the mini.
